London College of Fashion and the Victoria & Albert Museum are two things that fit neatly together. Heritage and the new generation of creativeness all under the same roof. This year for the second consecutive time, the MA 2012 graduates held their show at the famous Museum, in London. The collections are impeccable as always, and you get to wonder who is gonna become the next big thing, but frankly they all deserve it.
However the work of EMILY SEUL KI UHM caught my attention in particular. Most likely for the fact that color, whole blocks of it, was involved.
I find that (color + minimalistic lines + geometrical content )- PRINT = something very fresh and new. As opposed to all this print madness and chiffon lacey stuff going on everywhere at the moment. I usually go by the motto » More is More », but even I am fed up with it all this season.
Thumbs up for SEUL KI UHM’s work, celebrating pure lines, geometrical use of color, and minimalistic shapes. Amen.
